Progressive Die

Progressive Die

Progressive die forming involves incremental forming, while continuous die forming is a technique that centralizes the process steps, allowing cutting, slotting, punching, plastic deformation, and blanking to be completed in a single process. Depending on the specific needs of the stamped part, multiple stamping steps are arranged in a specific sequence (called stations in a progressive die) for continuous stamping. Many complex OEM metal stamping parts requiring multiple stamping steps can be fully formed on a single die, facilitating high-speed automated stamping. Therefore, progressive dies are a highly efficient multi-station stamping tool.
