Lost wax Casting

Lost wax casting creates a shape that is identical to the part to be cast. In simple terms, the outer surface of the wax mold is usually made of water glass as a binder, wrapped with 6-7 layers of quartz sand, and then hardened to obtain a solid shell.

It is then placed in hot water for dewaxing and finally cast in molten steel. Molten metal is poured into the mold and allowed to cool. The metal casting is then removed from the waste mold.
