Lost Foam Casting

Lost Foam Casting, also known as evaporative pattern casting, is a precision metal casting process that uses an expanded polystyrene foam pattern which vaporizes when molten metal is poured into the mold, leaving an exact cavity for the metal to fill.

Unlike traditional methods, which require a pattern removal process before casting and demand high precision, lost foam casting reduces this impact by allowing the pattern to evaporate as the molten metal is poured.
