Cold Forging

Cold forging is a forming process performed at room temperature, also known as cold forging temperature. The advantage of cold forging is the excellent surface finish achieved by cold forged products. Forging without heating the blank is called cold forging.

Cold forging is an environmentally friendly manufacturing process in which workpieces are formed at high pressure and low temperature. This cold forging process ensures that the material is free of bubbles, pores, or any other impurities, resulting in extremely high-quality cold forged products.

Cold Forging Capabilities

Materials: Low-carbon steel, Medium-carbon steel, Alloy steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum alloy
Press Equipment Range: 100 tons to 1200 tons
The cold forging parts industry is experiencing multiple trends. The growing demand for lightweight and fuel-efficient vehicles is driving the adoption of cold forged parts. Growing demand in the aerospace and defense sectors, as well as the booming electric vehicle market, are also contributing to the growth of this industry. Furthermore, advances in technology and automation are improving the precision and efficiency of the cold forging process.
Compared to other manufacturing methods, the main advantages of cold forging are tight dimensional tolerances, high surface finish, low material cost, and the ability to achieve the required strength and hardening without heat treatment.
