Sheet metal bending is a core process in sheet metal fabrication. It involves mechanically deforming sheet metal using plastic force. It is widely used in sheet metal manufacturing, automotive parts, building structures, and other fields.

Key Specifications

Compatible Metals: Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel
Sheet Thickness: Common range for ordinary CNC bending machines is 0.5mm–20mm (for carbon steel). Due to differences in material strength, the maximum thickness for stainless steel/aluminum alloys is slightly lower (typically 0.5mm–12mm).
Sheet Width: Conventional machine workbench widths are 1.6m, 2.5m, and 3.2m. The maximum processing width is ≤ the workbench width (with clamping space reserved).
Bending Angle: Capable of achieving arbitrary angles between 0°–135°; some models support flanging or curling greater than 135°.
Bending Radius: The minimum bending radius is usually 0.5–1.5 times the sheet thickness (depending on material hardness and machine precision). Ultra-small radius internal bending is not feasible (special dies required).
